An uplifting island in every way

Whilst some have their beaches, some their diving and others their music, only one island has it all.

So attractive she’s been nicknamed “The Helen of the West”. Saint Lucia is  lined with beautiful palm-fringed beaches, although our beaches are just an introduction to the immense beauty Saint Lucia has to offer.

Nature at its most spectacular

An emerald blanket spreads over much of the island, covering plunging valleys and rising peaks in lush rainforest. It’s a spectacular setting for adventure. And in a culmination of scenic wonder in the south, the magical Piton Mountains rise majestically from the Caribbean Sea. These green-cloaked peaks have UNESCO World Heritage Status, and top the list as Saint Lucia’s most arresting attraction.

Adventure galore

You can admire Saint Lucia’s good looks from afar. But there are many rewarding ways to experience the island close-up: From mountain biking through the rainforest, zip-lining over it or climbing a Piton to a visiting cocoa, sugar and banana plantations, sailing on a pirate ship or even driving into a volcano.

Ocean experiences are just as varied. An abundance of water sports are complimented by excursions to see dolphins and whales, or to visit neighbouring islands. Saint Lucia also has luxury marinas that play host to some of the finest yachts and are a playground for the rich and famous.

A rich and vibrant culture

While Saint Lucia’s natural assets are its most striking feature, a big part of the island’s appeal lies within its rich culture and heritage. The island is widely regarded as one of the most welcoming in the Caribbean. And a vibrant mix of Carib, African, French and English culture and history influence day-to-day life. Whether it’s the French Creole patois spoken by the locals or the island’s distinctive local cuisine, which is a sumptuous mix of West Indian, Creole and French food. While delicious European dining is presented by internationally recognised chefs.

The height of luxury

There’s a world-class choice of accommodation too. From candy-coloured cottages on plantations to high-end hotels with three-walled bedrooms featuring their own infinity pools – which offer an open invitation to experience the island’s natural delights. But wherever you stay, nature is present. At an alfresco breakfast a friendly hummingbird might join you, and as dusk settles a chorus of tree frogs will fill the air.

Feel the love

If you’re feeling romantic, Saint Lucia is an ideal location. The annual World Travel Awards have declared their feelings by awarding us as “World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination” an impressive eight times. However, Saint Lucia is not an exclusive preserve of those wanting a romantic retreat.

The islanders love to party, and every weekend is testimony to this! Infused with spirited fashion out on the streets of several fishing villages, and at the bars in Rodney Bay. A unique selection of family-focused hotels, safe-swimming beaches, pirate-themed sea adventures and a luscious rainforest await exploration; nowhere in the Caribbean surpasses Saint Lucia for all-round appeal!
